You guessed it. This blog is about above ground pools and one person’s love/hate relationship with a 28 foot round above ground pool.

The saga all started a few years ago when I came up with the bright idea, “Wouldn’t a pool be great for the kids and their friends?”  What a silly idea.  I should have joined a gym instead and took the kids to the gym’s pool.  From the time they dug up the yard in preparation for installing the pool, my life has never been the same.

I only started to chronicle my pool journey after a year of seriously neglecting the pool.  In addition to the serious neglect, I decided to switch from Bacquacil to chlorine (the salesperson had originally convinced me that Bacquacil was better).  So, after draining the pool within an inch of its life, scooping out almost a truck load of wet leaves and disrupting a thriving eco-system (we almost single handedly tripled the frog population in the area) I’m bringing the pool back from the brink of disaster.

I’m no pool aficionado;  just a person with the desire to see crystal clear water in a 28 foot round pool using chemicals that I’ve never used before.  Oh, and I’m using a different filtration system too.
